San-francisco I'm following the ASCD conference in San Francisco via the social web. Here's the best of the feed from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and SlideShare.  I follow the feed from #ASCD11 - so you don't get overloaded with RTs.


Twitter has had a lot of play in library literature. Described as “…a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?” These days, though, Twitter has grown up. Usage is off the charts, and with new functions including a Search function, there is now talk of Twitter taking over some of the traditional market held by Google.

We are going to do the following:

Sign up for a Twitter account.














    Figure out how to find people to follow on Twitter. 












      Learn how to search Twitter. 

      Send some tweets.
       

        Add a site that will keep us informed to our GoogleReader page.
